Biography

Dr. Ramesh Tukaram Bharate is a distinguished physician, pulmonologist, intensivist, and academician based in Latur, Maharashtra, India. He has extensive clinical and academic experience in respiratory medicine, pulmonary diseases, critical care, and bronchoscopy. He has been associated with Government Medical College, Latur, and is also a consultant pulmonologist and intensivist at Gayatri Superspeciality Hospital, Latur.

Dr. Bharate has a particular professional interest in pulmonary medicine, respiratory disorders, critical care, and the diagnosis and management of lung diseases, including lung cancer. His research work includes studies on the clinical profile of lung cancer, diagnostic methods for early detection of lung malignancies, percutaneous lung FNAC, bronchoscopic procedures, and outcomes among hospitalized patients with COVID-19.

He is actively involved in professional medical organizations and academic activities. He currently serves as Chairman of the West Zone of the Indian Chest Society (2025–2026) and as Chairman of the Latur Branch of the Association of Physicians of India.

Dr. Bharate has contributed to medical research and professional education through publications and participation in scientific and academic programs.
